Finish the novel you started—with help.

Write for Fun: your guide to “The End.”
Never feel stuck wondering what to do next.

I have an idea for a book.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that phrase, I’d have a mountain of nickels.

The next step is to take the book idea and write it down.

The step after that? String the ideas together into a book.

A finished book.

But many people don’t finish their books.
And some don’t start their books.

What gives?

By now, you might have talked about your idea to friends and family or to your partner. They’re excited about your idea, but since you began writing it down, you’ve lost a bit of the oomph that you felt at the beginning.

It’s like your Muse has scampered off the moment you need her most.

So… What happened?

Your brain might be saying something to you like:
“Because you’re lazy, Because you never finish what you start. Because you’re not a good writer.”

Well, I know something that your brain doesn’t know, because I’ve been exactly where you are.

I have doubted myself.

I have been unsure.

I have wondered aloud, “Am I wasting my time writing words that no one will ever read?”

I want to hug that girl. She was so, so wrong about herself.

The truth is…

  • You’re not lazy. You’re overwhelmed.

  • You haven’t finished because you don’t know what step to take next.

  • Writing is a process. Your writing will improve as long as you keep writing.

So, how do you keep writing when you don’t know what to do next?

That’s what I’m here for.

Imagine sitting down to write and feeling invigorated instead of overwhelmed.

Imagine ideas flowing so freely that they wake you up in the middle of the night.

Imagine knowing that your book is special and will change lives.

That certainty is everything.

Hi, I’m Jessica Lemmon.

15 years ago, I committed to learning everything I could about writing a romance novel from start to finish.

I spent 2 ½ years writing five books before landing my first publishing deal.

My agent received multiple offers on my two-book series.

Two weeks later, I had a contract with a New York publishing house.

Since then, I’ve written 47 books, worked with multiple traditional publishers (I even wrote a book for James Patterson), and have launched my own publishing imprint.

Over the years, I’ve learned something powerful:

The reason we don’t finish what we start is because we lack confidence in our abilities.

And the reason we lack confidence is because we’ve never done it before.

The more we work on our craft, the better writers we become.

Do you know what makes it easier to work on your craft?

Knowing what to do next in the process.

That’s what this course is here to teach you.

What you’ll learn in Write for Fun 101

I remember exactly what it felt like to write my first book.

I had this idea that excited me. I knew I wanted to write it. I knew I wanted to be an author.

But I also knew…

😬 It wasn’t as good as it could be.

😵‍💫 I had no idea how to make it better.

🤷‍♀️ I didn’t know where to go next.

I was stuck in that frustrating in-between place: I had written something, but I didn’t yet have the knowledge or tools to turn it into something great.

I wished I had a roadmap. A system. Something that would guide me step by step so I always knew what to do next.

And that’s why I created Write for Fun 101.

I designed this course so that you never have to feel stuck again. You’ll always have clear, actionable steps to take so you know exactly how to move forward.

To truly enjoy writing, you need to:

✅ Get past self-doubt and perfectionism (they kill creativity!)

✅ Understand the nuts-and-bolts of storytelling (so you feel confident)

✅ Trust the process (because writing is a journey)

That’s exactly what Write for Fun 101 is designed to help you do.

Write for Fun 101 is a self-paced course that will teach you the mindset and the mechanics of writing a book.

You’ll learn how to:

Overcome writer’s block with essential mindset shifts

Avoid common beginner mistakes that hold writers back

Trust your voice so you can write with confidence

Use real-world writing tools to make storytelling easier

Because when you trust yourself, writing becomes fun.

And when writing is fun… you actually finish the book.

The best part? You have the flexibility to make it work for you.

  • You don’t have to take a course—I didn’t when I wrote my first book. But I also spent over two and a half years gathering information, joining writing groups, and figuring out how to write what became my debut novel, Tempting the Billionaire.

It took writing many more books, years of experience, and a lot of trial and error to develop the templates, plotting strategies, and techniques I now teach in this course.

Going it alone is always an option, but Write for Fun 101 gives you a fast track. I’ll walk you through the exact steps to take, so you don’t have to spend years piecing it all together. Through journaling, worksheets, and video lessons, you’ll learn my approach—then you can either follow it step by step or adapt what works best for you.
